WWE’s Over The Limit opened up with a Battle Royal, where the winner would get a title shot later on in the night against the opponent of his choosing. Whether it’d be for the United States Championship or the Intercontinental Championship.

Christian ended up winning the Battle Royal and seemed to be going for the United States Championship. Christian; however, changed his mind last minute and decided he wanted to face Cody Rhodes for the Intercontinental Championship.

After a hard fought match, Cody Rhodes began to become frustrated, giving Christian the opening he needed to hit his Killswitch finisher on Cody for the win and became the New Intercontinental Champion.
