“Dashing” Cody Rhodes had an amazing match with the other 7 fellow Smackdown Superstars. Cody did a few spots in the match which included a drop kick from the top turnbuckle to Kofi Kingston who was on a ladder, Cross Rhodes on Kofi Kingston on a ladder. Sadly Dashing Cody Rhodes did not win the match, however he was close to winning in more than one occasion, actually Cody was the first man to go directly for the win, sadly it didn’t turn out like it.
Can’t wait to see what happens this Tuesday on NXT and Friday on Smackdown. Hopefully it leads to a title feud with current Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston. But for right now anything could happen so we have to just wait and see.
First of all I want to congratulate Cody Rhodes on finally making it to the biggest stage of them all. This would no doubt be the beginning of a beautiful year for Cody Rhodes. Although Cody did not win his match at Wrestlemania, he did proof that he has what it takes to be the next big thing and it’s only a matter of time before this happens. Randy Orton ended up winning the match after punting Cody Rhodes and delivering a massive RKO on Ted DiBiase for the win.
I have also added the screen captures from last night’s Elimination Chamber in which Cody came out with a lead pipe to hand it to Randy but it was Ted who took it and nailed Randy Orton un-intentionally with it. What was un-intentional however was when Ted decided to pin Orton instead of Cena.
So you might be asking yourself “Who cost Randy Orton the WWE Championship and a chance to headline Wrestlemania?” the simple answer would be “Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase on the Elimination Chamber with the Lead Pipe!” ha ha.
During tonights Royal Rumble, Cody Rhodes made a few appearances through out the night. He was first seen backstage talking to Randy Orton about the plans for the night and about Ted DiBiase acting different since his movie came out. Cody also managed to get Randy Orton Disqualified accidentally when the ref caught him hitting Sheamus. Randy took out his frustrations on Cody by hitting but DiBiase came out for the save.
Cody also was part of the big Royal Rumble match. He came out Number 13. Outlasted quite a few but Shawn Michaels managed to get him over the top rope along with Ted DiBiase.
Last night on Survivor Series the team of Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, William Regal & CM Punk took on the team of Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, MVP, R-Truth & Christian. Below is a review of the match thanks to WrestleZone.
-Team Kingston vs. Team Orton
CM Punk and R-Truth brawl before the match but the refs break it up. Mark Henry cleans house of all of Team Orton almost immediately. The numbers game is eventually too much for him and when the dust settles, Punk is the legal man in getting in the offense. Out of nowhere, Randy Orton hits the RKO on Henry for the pinfall. Mark Henry is eliminated. After some more exchanges, CM Punk and R-Truth are the legal men in the ring. Punk hits the G2S on R-Truth for the pinfall. R-Truth is eliminated. Later on, Christian eliminates Ted DiBiase Jr. MVP pins William Regal to eliminated Regal from the match. Continue Reading »

Some AMAZING news for tonights Breaking Point PPV was that Legacy defeated Degeneration X in the first ever Tag Team Submissions Anywhere Match. Below are full details of the match thanks to PW Torch. Congratulations guys WELL DESERVED VICTORY! The Legacy is just beginning.
Backstage, Josh Mathews brought in Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase to talk about their match against DX tonight. Cody repeated all of the talking points about the Submissions Count Anywhere going anywhere in Montreal, finding DX’s Breaking Point, they’re great, but we’re better, etc. Ted cut to the chase and said they’re going to make DX tap. He then grabbed some DX glowsticks. He said DX is like these glowsticks. They’re fun and entertaining, but after a while, that glow burns out. You lose interest. And then you throw them away. Nice, nice promo from DiBiase. Well done.
DiBiase didn’t even have time to take his t-shirt off, as DX took the fight right to them after the opening bell. Hunter and Michaels targeted the left knee of their respective opponents to set up for a future submission attempt. Heels bumping around for DX early on here. Michaels took Cody over the guardrail to the floor as Lawler talked about WWE production crew having cameras all over the arena for this one. Hunter knocked both opponents around before the fight moved into the stands. Team 3D and Beer Money brawled up the Impact Zone…oh oh, wrong promotion brawl-through-the-crowd. Um, Michaels choked DiBiase in one of the railings. Meanwhile, Hunter took Cody to the concourse to smash him into a Molsen beer vendor station. DiBiase suddenly blind-sided Hunter as a crowd began to circle around the brawl. Loud “You Screwed Bret” chant toward Michaels. Both members of Legacy were then put in a figure four on the floor of the concourse. Not very sanitary, I must say. “Ole, ole, ole” chant broke out. Fight then moved back down the stands. I’ve always wanted to see someone body surf during a brawl-through-the-crowd.
